CHICAGO, the city that boasts of one of the most beautiful skylines in the world!
CHICAGO, the city with the richness of its many cultural backgrounds, and serves as a melting pot for the masses that have come to us from every nation under heaven!
CHICAGO, the city whose industrial and manufac-turing products have been a blessing to the nations around the world, as we have shared our God given abilities and resources!
And yet, in spite of all the good things God has given us, crime and violence have long since become the major theme of our daily news.
When we see the many violent things that are so prevalent among us, we are forced to ask ourselves the question, is there any love left in our city?
How could anyone love such a people?
As amazing as it may seem, the WORD OF GOD de-scribes the perilous times we're living in, but tells us that these are not the only problems that exists in our world today, because God said in Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
He says again in Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
So once again we must ask ourself the question, if we have all sinned and come short of the glory of God, and the wages of sin in death, is there any hope for us?
Can anyone, even GOD, love a people like us?
DOES ANYONE LOVE THE PEOPLE OF CHICAGO?
Yes, the good news is that the BIBLE tells us in John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Yes, even though we have sinned and come short of His glory, He gave his only begotten Son to die on the cross of calvary for our sins, to be buried in a borrowed tomb, and to rise again from the dead on the third day according to the scriptures, that if we would repent of our sins and receive him as our Lord and Saviour, we would not have to perish but have everlasting life!
To answer the question then, DOES ANYONE LOVE THE PEOPLE OF CHICAGO?
THE ANSWER IS YES!
God loves us, and the members of our Church would like to share God's love and his word with you.
