"A Declaration of Those Things Most Surely Believed Among Us."
Luke 1:1
I. We believe in the infallible verbal inspiration of the entire Bible, consisting of both the Old and New Testaments, - II Tim 3:16-17. We accept the 1611 Authorized King James version of the Bible and rely on it as the final authority in all matters regarding our faith and the practice thereof.
II. We believe in the Triune God, consisting of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost, - Matt 28:19.
III. We believe in the Genesis account of Creation.
IV. We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ, - Matt 1:20.
V. We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, - John 10:30.
VI. We believe in the vicarious sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ, that He was buried, was bodily resurrected from the dead, ascended back into heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father to make intercession for us, - Heb 2:9, I Cor 15, Rom 8:34.
VII. We believe that salvation is wholly by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, - Eph 2:8-9; that anyone that will repent of their sins and put their faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour can be saved, - John 3:16, Rom 10:13; and that all believers are preserved eternally, - I Pet 1:3-5, John 10:27-30.
VIII. We believe that Christ will return in the air to receive all those that have trusted Him as their Lord and Savior, - I Thes 4:13-18; and we will stand before Him at the Judgement Seat of Christ and give an account of ourselves to Him, - II Cor 5:10.
IX. We believe that the second coming of Christ will be both personally and bodily, and the crowning event of the gentile age when He will set up His kingdom on earth to rule and reign for one thousand years, - Rev 19:11-20:6.
X. We believe the Bible doctrine of eternal punishment of the finally impenitent, - Matt 25:46, Rev 20:11-15.
XI. We believe that a scriptural church is a local, visible assembly of baptized believers, covenanted together under New Testament law for the purpose of carrying out the Great Commission with an unbroken history from the personal ministry of Jesus Christ on earth to this present day.
XII. We believe that scriptural baptism is the immersion of believers in water, administered by, and under the authority of a New Testament church, - Matt 28:18-20; the Lord's Supper is an ordinance to be observed with elements that are free of any leaven, to represent the sinless body and pure blood of the Lord Jesus Christ and to commemorate His death until He comes again and restricted to faithful members of the church in which the ordinance is being observed, - I Cor 11:23-29.
XIII. We believe, as true Baptists have always believed, that the Great Commission was given to the churches only; that each church is complete within itself and is of equal authority with any other New Testament church; and that each church should meet their responsibilities according to their several abilities.
XIV. We believe that any and all cooperating bodies that the church may choose to associate with are to be under that authority of, and servants to the church and we will restrict our cooperation to those that are in alignment with the commands and principles that are taught in the Holy Scriptures.
